We are

Area11DiverPQ

In 2009, Area11Diver Diving Centre was established in the spectacular island of La Maddalena (Sardinia), south of Italy. Thereon, we fast became a leader in underwater activities and gained a reputation for our impeccable service.

We now bring our expertise to Phu Quoc's budding dive scene, to enable even more people to discover its underwater treasures, whilst cultivating a love and appreciation for marine life amongst the wider community.

So, whatever you're looking for, whatever your level of experience - from complete novice to total pros - Area11DiverPQ has got just the thing for you.

Dany is a marine biologist with a great passion for the sea and sea life. He started scuba diving 12 years ago and has been working as an Instructor since 2013.

He is also the owner and manager of Area11Diver in La Maddalena Island in Italy. He now brings his expertise to Phu Quoc, where he continuously strives to meet each and every diver's needs.

Since becoming a dive professional, Tammy had the opportunity to work in amazing dive locations worldwide; diving in varying visibility, temperatures and fauna. Phu Quoc’s beautiful corals and abundance of macro life have brought her back after 3 years away.

An Instructor and environmentalist, Tammy loves to teach the Nudibranch specialty and Marine Conservation Researcher course, as well as introduce new divers to the incredible world of diving.

Ross, our Dive Master is back on the island after further training in the deep cold waters of La Maddalena in Italy.

Now for the second season, Ross is excited to continue helping others to discover and create new experiences.

Federico

Federico hails from a town near Venice. With 17 years of competitive swimming experience and several years of working with Dany in La Maddalena, Fede comes to Phu Quoc this season as our Dive Master, Deep Diver Guide and Fitness Instructor.

Emanuele

A true islander, Emanuele is a La Maddalena native and has been on boats since he was a baby. Engineer, captain, diver, Manu brings with him a wealth of boat and sea experience.

Kimchi

Kimchi is our dedicated mascot. Motivator, security and all-round good girl.

Phu Quoc is made up of 28 islands, and is located in the south of Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand.

Its dive scene is still in its infancy when compared to world-renowned locations. However, it has slowly been picking up over the years.

Increasingly more sites are being discovered in Phu Quoc, revealing a wide array of macro life including Nudibranchs, crustaceans, small reef fishes and banded sea snakes among many others, and if you're lucky, bamboo sharks as well.

The best season to experience its delightful underwater charms is in the dry season from October to April.

That said, Phu Quoc is still a great place to dive all year long as the water temperature remains comfortably warm throughout the year.
